Adding to the tv and radio commercials, the Portland Pilots have erected a billboard showcasing their best player and three-point chucker, Jared Stohl. Pretty sweet, I guess…if it was true and made sense. The billboard reads, “Guess Who Led The Nation In Threes Last Year.” With a picture of Stohl shooting.
The problem is Stohl DIDN’T “lead the nation in threes last year.” In fact, he wasn’t even in the top 20 with made threes. Maybe they (whoever approved the ad) are just idiots, and were referring to three point percentage. Well, even then they would still be wrong because Stohl was third in that category. Who really cares though. The Pilots aren’t worth watching, at least not on a whim after seeing some billboard.
